Launch of “UMI Data Collection Service,” Turning Human Work into Training Data for Robots
commissure Inc. is launching the “UMI Data Collection Service,” which measures human work using handheld UMI devices and processes it into data usable for robot learning and deployment studies, for manufacturers and robotics developers.
The service covers defining target tasks and intended data uses, on-site measurement, synchronization of video, motion and gripper states, checking for missing data, data processing, quality evaluation, and preparation of an analysis report. By measuring human work before bringing a robot onto the floor, customers can verify what data can be captured and what conditions robot implementation will require, with minimal disruption to existing processes.
